We make funding decisions based on the strength of the concept, the filmmaker's skill, the budget's efficiency, alignment with our funding options, clarity of the pitch, and project timing.

We evaluate pitches for commissioned work based on much of the same criteria as direct film funding: strength of the concept, skill of the filmmaker, efficiency of the budget, clarity of the pitch, and project timing. However, these projects also have an element of competitiveness, as other filmmakers will pitch for the same briefs. Occasionally, we may fund multiple projects for the same brief, but only one filmmaker is generally awarded funding for each brief. Convince us that you're the one!

For projects we fund or commission, we will work hard on your behalf to distribute and promote your work and secure features and awards with the potential to expand your audience and grow your career! We also have various creative resources that can be made available to you on a case-by-base basis supporting all phases of your project.
